The Intersection of
Nonviolence & Care for Creation
This 5-Week Virtual Conversation Series is co-hosted by
Casa Esther Catholic Worker House in Omro WI,
The Catholic Nonviolence Initiative,
a project of Pax Christi International,
Pax Christi USA and EcoCareNow
This series aims to explore a crucial connection between violence and the climate crisis, emphasizing the importance of nonviolent strategies in achieving sustainable ecological integrity.
The foundation for this thought-provoking exploration is rooted in Catholic Social Teaching,
particularly drawing inspiration from Pope Francis' encyclical, Laudato Si' (2015),
and his visionary perspective on the role of active nonviolence in nurturing
a harmonious relationship between humanity and our planet.
This series of conversations took place each Monday during the month of October, 2023 and explored the interconnected relationship between violence and the ecological crisis.
Each session lasted for 1h:30 minutes and includes a Q&A segment.
(The recordings are linked to the FaceBook page of Pax Christi USA. When you click on any of the links, a small window will pop up that says, "Discover more videos on Facebook" and you are prompted to log into your personal FaceBook account. Many of you don't have a personal FB account, but all you need to do, to be able to watch the video recording is to click on the X in the upper right hand corner of the pop up window and the window will disappear).
